^Wisconsin 108 starts off toward the north from Wisconsin 16, July 2025.
Wisconsin Highway 108 is a short north-south route in southwestern Wisconsin, in an area east of La Crosse. The route runs between Melrose and West Salem. The southern end of Highway 108 is at Wisconsin Highway 16 in West Salem, near Interstate 90. Highway 108 continues north for 14 miles, through a series of curves. After that, Wisconsin Highway 71 comes from the east and turns toward the north along Wisconsin Highway 108. Highways 71 and 108 continue together for one mile so they can both reach Melrose, and so they can both end in Melrose at Wisconsin Highway 54.
My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 108 depicts the first northbound trailblazer, shown to people who turn off of Wisconsin Highway 16 toward the north. This scene is at the southern end of Highway 108 in West Salem, east of La Crosse. This photo was taken in July 2025 as part of a road trip to eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
