^Wisconsin 120 continues south past the intersection in Springfield, Wisconsin, where Highway 36 meets its western end, April 2025.
Wisconsin Highway 120 is a short north-south highway in far southern Wisconsin, serving East Troy and Lake Geneva. The northern end of the highway is in East Troy at Interstate 43. Highway 120 continues south through a 4-way intersection with Wisconsin Highway 11, and then it reaches the tiny town of Springfield, where Highway 120 catches the western end of Wisconsin Highway 36. Farther south, Highway 120 joins US Route 12's freeway southward for a mile or two, before jumping off the freeway into Lake Geneva. Wisconsin Highway 120 uses Wisconsin Highway 50 to swing westward for a block to a new road that it uses to resume heading southward. Seven miles after making it out of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin Highway 120 ends at the Illinois state line. The highway becomes Illinois Route 47, which continues south toward Hebron and Woodstock.
My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 120 shows the first northbound trailblazer, seen by those crossing the state line out of Illinois. Those reaching the north end of Illinois Route 47 will see this scene if they continue northward. This photo was taken in February 2022. Back to the Wisconsin main page. Back to the home page.
