^Wisconsin 169 starts off toward the south from its northern terminus at US Route 2, August 2020.
Wisconsin Highway 169 is a short north-south highway in northernmost Wisconsin. It splits from Wisconsin Highway 13 in Mellen, and it runs northeast for 14 miles toward Lake Superior. Soon after its southern point of beginning, Wisconsin Highway 169 passes by the entrance to Copper Falls State Park. The route winds its way through forests and pastures in rural northern Wisconsin, until it ends at US Route 2. The endpoint is west of Saxon, and it is about five miles from Lake Superior.
My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 169 shows a set of westbound guide markers on US Route 2. Those seeing this sign are heading westbound on US Route 2 past the northern end of Highway 169. This photo was taken in August 2020 during a trip involving Ashland and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Back to the Wisconsin main page. Back to the home page.
