^Wisconsin 170 continues west beyond Wisconsin 79 in Boyceville, July 2025.
Wisconsin Highway 170 is an east-west route in western Wisconsin. It is more of a minor route, serving a bunch of small towns from Glenwood City to Colfax. This is north of Interstate 94 and northwest of the Eau Claire area. The western end in Glenwood City is at Wisconsin Highway 128. East of there, the route meets Wisconsin Highway 79 in Boyceville, and it meets Wisconsin Highway 25 in Wheeler. Beyond Wheeler, Wisconsin Highway 170 turns a bit southwesterly to end at Wisconsin Highway 40 in Colfax.

Northbound travelers on Wisconsin Highway 79 use this guide assembly to navigate the junction here, including the short jog Highway 79 takes westward along Wisconsin Highway 170. This photo was taken in July 2025 as I was driving north through western Wisconsin.
