^Looking north from the split with Wisconsin 88 south of Mondovi, July 2025.
Wisconsin Highway 37 runs from Alma to Eau Claire in western Wisconsin. The southwestern point of beginning, along Wisconsin Highway 35 in Alma, is right alongside the Mississippi River. From here, Wisconsin Highway 37 sets out for Eau Claire, passing through Mondovi on the way. The first half of the route, southwest of Mondovi, is rather curvy, passing through northern reaches of the Driftless Region. The second half of the route between Mondovi and Eau Claire still has curves, but they aren't as tight and numerous as those found along the first portion of the route. Wisconsin Highway 37 joins US Route 10 eastward for a short time in Mondovi before turning back toward the north. Wisconsin Highway 37 crosses Interstate 94, with a full interchange, as it enters the Eau Claire area. On the south side of Eau Claire, Wisconsin Highway 37 ends at US Route 12.
My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 37 was taken on the south side of Mondovi. As Highway 37 enters town from the southwest, it curves easterly before reaching a stop sign, where it turns left toward the north. This photo shows the sign facing west that tells people when to turn back toward the north, and it was taken in July 2025 during my trip to northwestern Wisconsin and northeastern Minnesota. This scene is located a fraction of a mile south of US Route 10. Back to the Wisconsin main page. Back to the home page.
