^Wisconsin 76 looking north from Interstate 41 a bit north of Oshkosh, December 2017.
Wisconsin Highway 76 runs north-south from Oshkosh to Bear Creek, in northeastern parts of central Wisconsin. It begins on the north side of Oshkosh at US Route 45. From there, it runs northward through an interchange with Interstate 41 and out of Oshkosh. Next, it serves Greenville and other peripheral areas on the west side of Appleton. Next, Wisconsin Highway 76 works its way north to Shiocton, where it meets Wisconsin Highway 54. Wisconsin Highway 187 takes over as the northward highway beyond Shiocton, because Highway 76 decides at this point to angle toward the northwest. It runs northwestward to Bear Creek, and it ends with a westward orientation at an intersection involving US Route 45 and Wisconsin Highway 22.
My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 76 shows a northbound trailblazer seen by people leaving the interchange between this surface highway and Interstate 41. The aperture looks at what travelers see when they leave Oshkosh toward the north. This photo was taken in December 2017 on the way to other points in eastern and northeastern Wisconsin.
