​Ohio State Route 260 is a highly curvy route to the Ohio River, in southeasternmost Ohio. It begins in eastern Noble County, along Ohio Route 78 east of Caldwell.  It runs southerly and southeasterly from there, twisting and turning through hilly, forested backcountry for 34 miles.   Much of it is in the Wayne National Forest.  As it meets Ohio Route 26 in the tiny hamlet of Bloomfield, it turns easterly toward New Matamoras, where it ends at Ohio Route 7 along the Ohio River.

My photo for Ohio State Route 260 comes from a junction with Ohio Route 724, near the northern end of its course.  About two miles south of Ohio Route 78, Ohio Route 260 splits into a road continuing the designation, and into Ohio Route 724, which heads eastward.  The trailblazer shown greets those who have turned off of Ohio Route 724 toward the north.  This photo was taken in March 2021, during my tour all around the southeastern quarter of Ohio.
