Ohio State Route 343 is a very short east-west route, connecting Yellow Springs to Clifton in west-central Ohio. Divide Route 343's number by 100, and you will get the length of the route in miles, to the nearest 0.02 miles. The western end in Yellow Springs is at US Route 68. Ohio Route 370, the short spur south to John Bryan State Park, stems from Ohio Route 343, just under a mile east of the west end. Besides Ohio Route 370 and US Route 68, Ohio Route 343 only intersects one other route at the east end in Clifton; that route is Ohio Route 72.
My photo of Ohio Route 343 shows the first westbound trailblazer, seen at the eastern end in Clifton. Travelers turning off of Ohio Route 72 will be greeted this sign when they set out toward the west. This photo was taken in October, 2015, on the way to Columbus to kick off a drive to New England.
