Ohio State Route 582 is a fairly short east-west route mainly in Wood County, with a slight extension easterly into Sandusky County. The route runs west out of Woodville to the Maumee River near Waterville; oddly, the part in Woodville is the only portion not in Wood County. The eastern end in Woodville is at Ohio Route 105, just south of US Route 20. The route runs westerly from there through the town of Luckey, Ohio. After Luckey, Ohio Route 582 stays completely straight, heading due west to the Maumee River. A jog to the north at the very end leads to the western terminus at Ohio Route 65, near Waterville. Ohio Route 582 stays south of Toledo, but lies north of Bowling Green, Ohio.
My photo for Ohio Route 582 shows the first westbound trailblazer, seen by travelers in Woodville who turn off of Ohio Route 105. In other words, this sign comes from the eastern end of Ohio Route 582. This photo was taken in October 2016, when I decided to divert north Toledo on the way home from West Virginia. And yes, that is my car hanging off the shoulder. These days, I try to be more careful about parking it outside of the camera shot!
