Ohio State Route 707 runs across northern Mercer County, on the western edge of Ohio. In fact, the western end of Ohio Route 707 is at the Indiana state line, where it becomes Indiana State Route 218. Those heading east out of Berne, Indiana, find themselves on Ohio Route 707 once they reach the state line. Then, they reach the small hamlet of Mercer, where Ohio Route 707 joins US Route 33 for a short bit so it can access US Route 127. The route then jogs northerly on US Route 127, and it continues east after that. Ohio Route 707 then serves what seems to be its main purpose: serving the village of Mendon. At Mendon, it turns northerly to end a few miles later at Ohio Route 117.
My photo for Ohio Route 707 comes from the 4-way intersection of US Route 33 and US Route 127 in Mercer. The guide markers sit on a mast supporting signals, facing eastward at westbound travelers on US Route 33. Thanks to this sign assembly, US Route 33 travelers are alerted of the presence of Ohio Route 707, which apparently comes from the right to turn toward the photo's background (so toward the west). This photo was taken in August 2013, as I was driving a weird way home from the Columbus area.
