I spent a long weekend with my wife in the Dubuque area last weekend. Everything went fine until Tuesday when my gastrointestinal system revolted against me, society, and everything. With no disrespect to Dubuque, I mean it literally when I say, Dubuque made me puke.
I am no longer violently ill, but I am still sick enough to want to stay home. I decided to stay home wanting proximity to a toilet, and that gave me a chance to catch up on editing the website. I am almost done with the new state's worth of content, and with the huge number of distinct numbered routes in this state, I've had to write about 570 new webpages. No other state has required more than 220. This new state, which probably won't be a surprise to anyone anymore, will have about 570 new webpages!! I need to finish the Interstate pages, and I will be ready for a launch. Note that these Interstate pages will not have full exit lists yet-- not until I take a couple trips to photograph all the exit signs. But they will be ready enough for me to show you the whole state's worth of new stuff. My goal is to launch the new branch of the site this weekend or next weekend. Speaking of full exit lists, I will be ready to add full exit lists to the Interstates in Iowa with the new photos I got earlier this month. That will be my next goal. So there are even more new things coming beyond the new state of content dropping very soon!!

I know I was supposed to be working on the new branch of the site, but the weather last weekend allowed me to travel around and get some more photos! So I added some new photos to highways in Iowa, and there is a slew of new photos coming soon to the Iowa Interstate pages.
For now, you can check out new photos added for the following highways, and the shield images for these highways are updated on the Iowa menu page as well: The new and very large expansion of the site is still coming soon. I am about 93% complete-- 14/15ths, if you will! There is a bit of a delay, however, as the laptop I've been using to write the site refuses to charge. I'm ordering a new charging cable to try and fix the problem. The website is about to expand toward the east...And if the weather forecast looks nice for the upcoming weekend, those of you on the west end of my coverage area might see a nice surprise in the next couple of months as well. Stay tuned!
I apologize for the delay. The new portion of the site may have to wait until the middle or late end of February, rather than the early part of the month. Hi everyone. Work has been especially busy from mid-December to mid-January. I haven't been able to work on the website as much as I have wanted to. Even so, I am about 85% complete on the new portion on the site. I have probably spent more than 60 hours working on the new content. I have another 10-15 hours of work to do still before everything is complete. Get ready for lots of new information and lots of new photos coming sometime in February!
For the last two months, I have been working hard on developing a whole new gigantic branch of the website. I am now approaching the 75% completion mark! I'm forecasting a launch of the new branch of the website in about a month and a half. Maybe the cold winter will keep me indoors and plugging away at the website and I'll get it done sooner. Who knows how conditions will manifest! But I will do what I can to show you as soon as possible!
I added some photos to the US 6 page for Illinois. I've also been working on a whole slew of new pages. I've written about 300 to 350 of them, and I have about 200 more to go? Since December is proving to be highly busy at my job, I won't be able to work on the website a whole lot. The new section of the website should be ready by late January or early February! I promise I am working hard to crank out the new content!
I took a couple leisurely weekend drives, and I added new photos to pages in northwestern Illinois and northeastern Illinois. US Route 20 in Iowa has a new cover photo. Other pages with new photos include:And others!
Beyond that, I have been working behind the scenes on a giant new slew of content. At this rate, I think I can promise the content in late January or early February. Once you see how much new content it's going to be, I think you'll understand why it's taking such a long time. I'm trying to write 10 new pages a day. Yes. Ten in a day. For how many days? A lot. You'll see! No, not tweaking from stimulants or caffeine. Like I'm tweaking the website. You weirdos.
I tweaked a photo on the Illinois 50 page, and I changed out a photo on the Illinois 58 page. I have made minor edits elsewhere, too. Also, it turns out the information I added to the US411 page didn't save, so oops! Sorry about that. The US411 page should be finished now. I'm tempted to look through the other pages to see what other information didn't save (or maybe I just forgot to develop that page). But there's so much else to work on! A whole new gigantic branch of the website is coming in the next few months, so stay tuned to right here for an announcement on when that happens! A few photos were added to Illinois pages due to a Champaign. And if it looks like there hasn't been much being added to the site lately, it's because I've been working on something massive that isn't public yet. It may still be a long while before I finish is, because it's just so much content. For now, enjoy some new photos added to the following pages:
After a little trip around Chicagoland last Saturday, new photos have been added to the following pages:
