^Wisconsin 181 continues north beyond Wisconsin 190 in Milwaukee, February 2022.

Wisconsin Highway 181 is a north-south arterial in western areas and northern outskirts of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The southern end of Highway 181 is at Wisconsin Highway 59 in West Allis, due west of downtown Milwaukee. From here, Wisconsin Highway 181 heads north into Wauwatosa. Beyond Wauwatosa, the state highway follows 76th Street north through portions of Milwaukee's west side. Highway 181 maintains a course straight northward through Mequon to Cedarburg. Having barely made it out of Milwaukee County, Highway 181 is stopped in its tracks by Wisconsin Highway 60 near Cedarburg. The intersection of those two routes forms the northern terminus of Wisconsin Highway 181.

This is the intersection of 76th Street and Capitol Avenue in Milwaukee. The aperture looks east at the intersection. This photo was taken in February 2022 on the way back from eastern Wisconsin.
