Wisconsin Highway 32 is a very long north-south state highway stretching across the eastern part of Wisconsin. The northern end of the route is at the Michigan state line, along US Route 45, in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin. Route markers indicating Highway 32 are adorned with a pair of red arrows on either side of the number, in honor of the 32nd Division of the United States Infantry. The Red Arrows are the logo of that Division of the Infantry, and this mirrors the "Red Arrow Highway" running northward along the opposite shore of Lake Michigan, in western Michigan. The highway enters Wisconsin switching titles from the title of Illinois Route 137, in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin, near the Lake Michigan shoreline. Highway 32 heads north through Kenosha and Racine before entering Milwaukee. It hugs the shoreline in the city of Milwaukee and the nearby suburbs before joining Interstate 43 north out of the megalopolis. Largely following Interstate 43 after this, it makes a brief jump from the freeway to serve as a sort of north-south business alignment through Port Washington. At Cedar Grove, Highway 32 finally breaks up with Interstate 43 for good, and it heads north to Howards Grove, west of Sheboygan, where it ricochets off of Highway 42. Highway 32 bends northwesterly, bending back north at Chilton so it can become oriented toward Green Bay. At Green Bay, Highway 32 joins Highway 29 west until it can split off northward into Pulaski. After Pulaski, Highway 32 continues north-northwest through the Chequamegon-Nicollet National Forest. At Laona, Highway 32 joins US Route 8 west until Crandon. Highway 32 jumps north from Crandon to a northwestward roadway bound for Three Lakes. Instead of ending at US Route 45 in Three Lakes, Highway 32 joins US Route 45 northward to officially end at the Michigan state line.

My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 32 is from Eagle River, Wisconsin. This portion of Highway 32 is the northernmost portion of the route, which is entirely concurrent with US Route 45 between Three Lakes and the Michigan state line. According to this sign facing westbound travelers on Wisconsin Highway 70, Wisconsin Highway 32 and US Route 45 both make a turn to the right at this intersection. Note that Wisconsin Highway 17 also joins northward for a short bit. This photo was taken in December 2017 during a trip to northeastern Wisconsin.
