Wisconsin Highway 39 is an east-west highway in southwestern Wisconsin. It begins in New Glarus at Wisconsin Highway 69. From there, Highway 39 moves westward, curving through the hills on the southeastern periphery of the Driftless Region. Highway 39 meets the southeastern end of Wisconsin Highway 191 in Hollandale. After that, it continues westward to Mineral Point, and then it curls northward through Linden. The northwestern end of this highway is at US Route 18 west of Dodgeville, near the village of Cobb.

My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 39 is from the eastern end, which is an intersection with Wisconsin Highway 69 in New Glarus. Northbound travelers use the guide marker depicted to locate the left turn onto the eastern beginning of Highway 39. This photo was taken in August 2015 during a drive to Madison.
