^Wisconsin 66 looking east from Interstate 39 in Stevens Point, December 2017.
Wisconsin Highway 66 is an east-west highway running for 30 miles across central Wisconsin. The highway connects Wisconsin Rapids, Stevens Point, and Rosholt. The western beginning of Wisconsin Highway 66 occurs along Wisconsin Highways 13 and 34 just north of Wisconsin Rapids. Highway 66 heads upstream along the north bank of the Wisconsin River. The river's course bends northward, so Highway 66 decides to cross the river into downtown Stevens Point. On the east side of Stevens Point, Highway 66 jumps north along Interstate 39 to the next exit. It heads northeast toward Rosholt. Just beyond Rosholt, the route ends at Wisconsin Highway 49.
My photo of a route marker for Wisconsin Highway 66 shows the eastbound reassurance marker seen by those leaving the Interstate 39 interchange on the northeast side of Stevens Point. This photo was taken in December 2017 on my way up to Eagle River and other areas in northeast Wisconsin. Back to the Michigan main page. Back to the home page.
