Wisconsin Highway 86 is a short east-west highway in north-central Wisconsin. It runs from Ogema to Tomahawk. The western end in Ogema is at Wisconsin Highway 13. Twenty-eight miles to the east, Wisconsin Highway 86 enters Tomahawk. It juts northward for a couple of miles in Tomahawk, and then it turns eastward for another couple of miles. These eastward couple of miles are the last couple of miles, and Wisconsin Highway 86 ends at US Route 51. Wisconsin Highway 86 parallels US Route 8 to the south, running about seven miles south of that US highway.

Those leaving County Highway S, including those who reached the northern end of Wisconsin Highway 107, will see this scene if they turn right onto the eastbound side of Highway 86. This photo was taken in December 2017, going to northeastern Wisconsin.
