Indiana State Route 244 is a rural east-west connector in the northern part of southeastern Indiana. The route mainly exists in southern Rush County. The western end is at the northwest-southeast alignment of Interstate 74 at Shelbyville, and the east end is another northwest-southeast route, US Route 52, at a point west of Laurel and Metamora.
My photo of Indiana State Route 244 is the first eastbound trailblazer coming off of the western terminus at Interstate 74. This is on the east side of Shelbyville, Indiana. Driving home from southwestern Ohio, I grabbed this photo in February 2017.
