Ohio State Route 590 is a north-south highway along the theoretical border between north-central Ohio and northwestern Ohio. The route exists in Ottawa and Sandusky Counties, with a slight protrusion southward into Seneca County. The northern end is at the northernmost east-west route in this portion of Ohio, Ohio Route 2. From this northern terminus about 15 miles east of Toledo, Ohio Route 590 heads southward through the very small towns of Rocky Ridge and Lindsey. Ohio Route 590 is a very rural route, only ever passing through these two tiny towns. A third town is entered by Ohio Route 590, and it's where the route ends. That town is Bettsville, in Seneca County, and Ohio Route 590 ends at Ohio Route 12 in this town.
My photo for Ohio Route 590 comes from its junction with US Route 20. As Ohio Route 590 passes to the west of Fremont, it crosses US Route 20 and US Route 6. This sign at the junction with US Route 20 faces west for drivers on US Route 20. This photo was taken during the northwestern Ohio trip of October 2023 (I was on my way to Sandusky and the Lake Erie Islands).
