Ohio State Route 185 is a fairly short highway running in Darke and Miami Counties, in west-central Ohio. It connects Piqua and Versailles, and it continues northwest out of Versailles to US Route 127. The northwestern end at US Route 127 is in northern Darke County; travelers presumably will use Ohio Route 185 if they are connecting to points north along US Route 127, in Mercer County and beyond. From this endpoint at US Route 127, Ohio Route 185 runs southeasterly to Versailles. Shortly after passing through Versailles, the course of Ohio Route 185 becomes easterly as it meets the northern end of Ohio Route 721 north of Bradford. It is at this junction with Ohio Route 721 where Ohio Route 185 enters Miami County (Route 721 follows the county line). It heads due east until entering Piqua, where it turns southerly for a short bit before ending at US Route 36.
My photo of Ohio State Route 185 signage depicts a junction marker seen along Ohio Route 721. Ohio Route 721 runs northerly out of Bradford, along the county line, to end at Ohio Route 185. Those heading northerly toward that endpoint will see this junction marker warning of the upcoming T-intersection. This photo was taken in September 2017, on a convoluted way home from Columbus that involved the usage of Ohio Route 721, Ohio Route 185, and a whole lot of US Route 127. Back to Ohio Routes 100-199.
