^Looking east from the western end at New Hampton, September 2019.
Iowa Route 24 is a connector between New Hampton and Calmar in northeastern Iowa. It runs east-west, with a slight tilt toward the northeast-southwest. The western end is a junction along US Route 63, where US Route 18 comes from the west to join US Route 63 south for a jog. The eastern end is in Calmar at a junction with US Route 52 and Iowa Route 150's northernmost extent. Calmar is just south of Decorah, which can be reached from Iowa Route 24's eastern end by making a turn onto US Route 52 north.
My photo of Iowa Route 24 is the first eastbound trailblazer, by the western endpoint in New Hampton. Continuing west from here will put you on US Route 18 once you pass through the interchange with US Route 63. This photo was taken during the northern Iowa trip of September 2019.
