​Ohio State Route 187 is a short north-south road between Columbus and Springfield, Ohio. Though it doesn't reach Mechanicsburg or London, it's a useful shortcut for traveling between those two towns.  The northern end of Ohio Route 187 is at Ohio Route 29, just southeast of Mechanicsburg.  While the northern end is marked by a northwest-southeast highway, the southern end occurs at another northwest-southeast highway.  That highway is Ohio Route 56.  After Ohio Route 187 curves left and right through its course of 8 miles, it ends at Ohio Route 56, just north of London and Interstate 70.

My photo of Ohio State Route 187 shows the northern beginning, and the first southbound trailblazer.  People leaving Mechanicsburg and Ohio Route 29 will be greeted by this trailblazer.  This photo was taken in June 2016, during an indirect drive home from Columbus.
