​Ohio State Route 221 is a short north-south route in southwestern Brown County, ending by the Ohio River. It connects Georgetown and Higginsport. The northern end in Georgetown is at Ohio Route 125, just west of US Route 68.  The route runs 8 miles south to Higginsport, where it ends at US Route 52.

My photo for Ohio State Route 221 comes from the southern end at US Route 52, in Higginsport.  The aperture, and the people reading this sign, face west looking down US Route 52.  The signage indicates the location of the right turn required to start heading north on Ohio Route 221.  This photo was taken in October 2018, during my tour around southwestern Ohio.
