Indiana State Route 445 is a short east-west connector road southwest of Bloomington, linking Indiana Routes 45 and 54 to Interstate 69. As Indiana Route 54 heads east out of Bloomfield in southwestern Indiana, it reaches a point where it turns south-southeastward before meeting Interstate 69. If a traveler wanted to head from Bloomfield to Interstate 69 northeast toward Bloomington or Indianapolis, they wouldn't want to dive southeast before getting on Interstate 69 northeastward. That's where Indiana Route 445 comes in, continuing that eastward alignment farther eastward from Indiana Route 54 to Interstate 69. Indiana Route 445 crosses Indiana Route 45 as well, about midway through its three-mile journey.
My photo for Indiana Route 445 is the junction marker along Indiana Route 45 northbound. This photo looks north, and you can see the "To Interstate 69" guide marker in the background, pointing to the east. This junction, and all of Indiana Route 445, sits between Bloomington and Bloomfield in near-southwest Indiana. Back to the Indiana main page. Back to the home page.
