Ohio State Route 357 is a short state route on South Bass Island, an island in Lake Erie that's popular among tourists. Ohio Route 357 runs overall east-west along the northern edge of South Bass Island, through the village of Put-in-Bay. The west end of Ohio Route 357 is at Peach Point, a small northwestern point on the island. The route runs east through downtown Put-in-Bay. As it leaves the small town, it passes by the George Rogers Clark Monument on its way to the northeastern peninsula of the island. The road, and Ohio Route 357, end at East Point, on that peninsula. The state route connects to no other numbered highways, and South Bass Island is only accessible via ferry or boat.
My photo for Ohio Route 357 shows a westbound trailblazer seen by those leaving downtown Put-in-Bay toward the west. This photo was taken in October 2023 as I was finishing my shield gallery's coverage of north-central Ohio and the Lake Erie islands (see also: Ohio Route 575 on Kelleys Island).
