^Southbound trailblazer in Kimballton seen by those leaving Iowa 44, October 2021.

Iowa Route 173 is a fairly short north-south route in western Iowa, bisected by Interstate 80.  The northern end is at Iowa Route 44 in Kimballton.  From there, Iowa Route 173 heads south past an interchange with Interstate 80 to end at Iowa Route 83 just west of Atlantic.  The path of Iowa Route 173 covers about 15 miles.

My photo for Iowa Route 173 is the northbound reassurance marker pointing toward the interchange with Interstate 80.  The southward-facing signage reassures traffic coming from Interstate 80 that they have made the right (or wrong?) choice. This photo was taken in February 2016 on the way home from Omaha.
