​Ohio State Route 517 runs northeastward out of Lisbon, toward East Palestine.  It doesn't quite reach East Palestine, but it merges with Ohio Route 558, which finishes the job.  The southwestern end in Lisbon is at the central intersection in town, known as the Lisbon Village Square.  At the Village Square, US Route 30 runs east-west, Ohio Route 164 runs north-south, Ohio Route 154 is starting off toward the east, and Ohio Route 45 is coming from the east to turn north.  Ohio Route 517 begins here toward the north, concurrent with Ohio Route 45 and Ohio Route 164. Ohio Route 45 splits to head northwesterly first, and then Ohio Route 164 splits off to head northwesterly.  Ohio Route 517, finally independent, bends into an easterly direction from a northerly one.  The eastern extent of Ohio Route 517 merges with Ohio Route 558, right before that route intersects Ohio Route 7.  The intersection with Ohio Route 7 is where Ohio Route 517 ends.

My photo of Ohio Route 517 signage comes from the north side of Lisbon, where Ohio Route 164 splits from Ohio Route 517.  Ohio Route 164 turns left onto a northward road here, as Ohio Route 517 continues northeasterly.  This photo was taken of signage indicating this, and it was taken in October 2022 during the northeastern Ohio tour.
