Ohio State Route 181 is a very short route west of Mansfield, in north-central Ohio. As Ohio Route 309 leaves Mansfield toward the west, it meets a fork with a spur northwest to the town of Crestline; that spur is Ohio Route 181. The new route heads westerly at first passing over the US Route 30 (no access is provided). Then, it turns north along the county line. The northward stint ends as Ohio Route 181 reaches the old alignment of US Route 30, which is called Main Street in Crestline. Ohio Route 181 turns west on this Main Street for less than a mile, just to end at Ohio Route 61 at the center point of Crestline.
My photo of Ohio State Route 181 shows the first westbound trailblazer, seen by those turning off of Ohio Route 309. Ohio Route 181 is about to cross over the US Route 30 freeway with no interchange; cut a mile north to 4th Street if you seek access to the freeway. This photo was taken on the way home from the October 2022 tour of northeastern Ohio. Back to Ohio Routes 100-199. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
