Ohio State Route 607 is a tiny north-south route on the east side of McConnelsville. The route was commissioned to serve an Ohio Department of Transportation facility on the eastern outskirts of town. Ohio Route 607 runs circumferentially around McConnelsville from Ohio Route 78, which pokes radially outward toward the northeast, to Ohio Route 60, which pokes radially eastward. Think of Ohio Route 607 as roughly drawing a circular arc, around the edge of a clock from 1 o'clock to 3 o'clock, with McConnelsville at the center. At 1 o'clock is Ohio Route 78; from Ohio Route 78, Ohio Route 607 runs roughly southward for not even two miles, to end at Ohio Route 60 (3 o'clock).
My photo for Ohio Route 607 comes from the northern end of the route, at Ohio Route 78. The scene looks toward the northeast along Ohio Route 78, featuring a guide marker that points out the location of the right turn onto Ohio Route 607. This photo was taken in March 2021, during my trip around southeastern Ohio.
