US Route 91 runs north-south in Idaho and northern Utah. Specifically, the northern end is at US Route 26 in Idaho Falls, and the southern end is at Interstate 15 and near US Route 89 in Brigham City, Utah. US Route 91 was once a much longer route, but Interstate 15 was built along the same corridor. In places where it didn't make sense to keep both the freeway and the surface highway, US Route 91 was deleted. US Route 91 reaches Pocatello and Idaho Falls in Idaho, and it provides the main north-south thoroughfare through Logan, Utah. The route doesn't really reach any other major locales, though, in its current shrunken state.
My photo for US Route 91 was taken in August 2018, at its junction with Interstate 86 in Pocatello, Idaho. This was along the return trip of my drive to the Pacific Ocean that month. The sign assembly depicted faces south at northbound traffic along US Route 91, looking for how to get to Interstate 86 west or east. Since this is the last exit before Interstate 86's eastern end at Interstate 15, the signage only mentions Interstate 15 on signage to the eastbound onramp. Back to the nationwide main page.
