US Route 35 in Indiana runs from Michigan City, in northwestern Indiana, southeasterly to Richmond, in east-central Indiana, continuing east into Ohio. Like US Route 33, US Route 35 is a diagonal northwest-southeast highway that begins in northern Indiana; however, US Route 35 lies south and west of US Route 33, connecting cities like Michigan City, Kokomo, Muncie, and Richmond. The northwest end of US Route 35 is at US Route 20 just east of Interstate 94, on the east side of Michigan City. The departure eastward into Ohio occurs along a concurrency with Interstate 70 around Richmond.
My photo for US Route 35 in Indiana is a guide assembly for westbound traffic driving along the concurrency of US Route 35 and Indiana Route 22. The junction home to the depicted signage is east of Kokomo and west of Gas City; US Route 35 runs concurrently with the east-west Indiana Route 22 between these two towns. At this junction, Indiana Route 13 runs north-south across the concurrency of US Route 35 and Indiana Route 22, as Indiana Route 19 comes from the north to join Routes 22 and 35 west.
