Ohio State Route 595 is a short northeast-southwest route in Hocking and Perry Counties. At the northeast end, the route reaches the town of New Straitsville. In that town, the northeast terminus of Ohio Route 595 sits one block east of Ohio Route 93, along Ohio Route 216. The southwestern end of Ohio Route 595 is at US Route 33 near Haydenville. The whole route is in a hilly area somewhat east of Logan, Ohio.
My photo for Ohio Route 595 comes from the northeastern end, at Ohio Route 216 in New Straitsville. The Ohio Route 595 marker in my collection is actually the end marker, which sits across Ohio Route 216 from the travelers looking at it. Ohio Route 216 continues to the east a considerable distance, but it only continues one block to the west, where it ends at Ohio Route 93. This photo was taken in April 2021, as I was using US Route 33 and Interstate 77 to get to Virginia. I evidently added some planned detours to get Ohio state route marker photos, though!
