Ohio State Route 236 stems north out of Massillon, barely poking into Summit County.  The route begins at Ohio Route 21 on the north side of Massillon.  It cuts east by one block to a road heading northward out of town.  The northern end is at Ohio Route 93 just northeast of Canal Fulton.  Ohio Route 236 runs for eight miles on the east side of the Tuscarawas River.

My photo for Ohio State Route 236 shows the southern end marker.  The end marker is along the north-south road (First Street) that carries Ohio Route 236 northward out of town, though Ohio Route 236 continues toward the west for one block to Ohio Route 21.  This photo was taken in October 2022, during the grand tour around northeastern Ohio.
