Ohio State Route 121 is a northeast-southwest highway in Darke and Preble Counties, in westernmost Ohio. In fact, the highway begins at the very western edge of the state, at the Indiana state line. As Indiana State Route 121 heads easterly out of Richmond, Indiana, it soon crosses into Ohio, becoming Ohio Route 121. Soon after its inception, Ohio Route 121 turns north-northeasterly at New Paris, Ohio. The route soon enters Darke County, where it connects the county seat of Greenville to southwestern and northeastern portions of the county. That means Ohio Route 121 will soon pass through the heart of Greenville to continue northeastward. The northeastern end of Ohio Route 121 occurs at Ohio Route 47 in Versailles, just after it joins Ohio Route 185 northward into town.
My photo of Ohio State Route 121 comes from the point where it joins Ohio Route 185 north into Versailles. Ohio Route 121 has bent toward the east at this point, so it can reach this junction with Ohio Route 185. The signage faces west at those heading eastward along Ohio Route 121. It informs drivers that Ohio Route 185 runs north and south from here, and that Ohio Route 121 is about to turn toward the north. This photo was taken in September 2017, taking a backwards way to Columbus. Back to Ohio Routes 100-199. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
