Ohio State Route 524 is a short, eight-mile highway in east-central Ohio. It begins along Ohio Route 39 east of Carrollton, and it runs southeast to the town of Bergholz. The southeastern end in Bergholz is at Ohio Route 164, in northwestern Jefferson County.

Westbound travelers on Ohio Route 39 use the guide marker in the photo to locate the left turn onto Ohio Route 524's northern beginning. This photo was taken in October 2022, during the tour of the northeastern quarter of Ohio.
