Ohio State Route 781 is a fairly short route between Peebles and Otway in Adams County, Ohio.  Its northwestern end is at Ohio Route 41, at the unincorporated community of Jacksonville, which sits just south of Peebles.  The southeastern end, just west of Otway, occurs at Ohio Route 348.  Ohio Route 781 is a jagged, uneven eleven miles, situated in rural areas of southern Ohio.

​My photo for Ohio Route 781 comes from the southeastern end of the route, at Ohio Route 348.  This photo faces west at eastbound travelers on Ohio Route 348 bound for Otway--that is, unless they make this left turn.  This photo was taken during a western detour that stemmed from my grand tour of southeastern Ohio in March 2021.
