​Ohio State Route 535 is a short route near Painesville, in Lake County. It is shaped like an upside-down U, as an alternate surface route to Ohio Route 2.  Its purpose is to provide access to Fairport Harbor and other shoreline areas separated from Painesville by Ohio Route 2 and a prominent railroad.  The western end is at Ohio Route 283, right where that route meets Ohio Route 2.  The eastern end of Ohio Route 535 is an interchange directly with Ohio Route 2.

​My photo for Ohio Route 535 comes from the western end at Ohio Route 283.  Eastbound travelers encounter this set of guide markers explaining about the continuation of Ohio Route 283, the start of Ohio Route 535, and the nearby access to Ohio Route 2. This photo was taken in October 2022, during the grand tour around northeastern Ohio.​
