^Looking east from Interstate 469, where US Route 30 starts heading eastward away from Fort Wayne, October 2022.
US Route 30 in Indiana connects the southeastern outer suburbs of Chicago to Valparaiso and Fort Wayne, by running east-southeast from Dyer to the Ohio border just past Fort Wayne. US Route 30 is 4-laned for its entire journey across northern Indiana, and it even has expressway interchanges at times. In the Fort Wayne area, US Route 30 follows Interstate 69 north and then Interstate 469 southeast to bypass the city itself.
My photo for US Route 30 in Indiana is at the junction with Indiana Route 23 at Grovertown, a tiny hamlet just west of Plymouth. The sign assembly depicted is a guide assembly at the southeast corner of the intersection, facing west toward eastbound traffic on US Route 30. Back to the Indiana main page. Back to the home page.
