Ohio State Route 637 is a rural route in Defiance and Van Wert Counties, shaped like a capital Greek letter gamma on maps. In other words, it runs north from a southern endpoint, then it turns to the east before ending. The southern end we're talking about occurs at US Route 224, northeast of Van Wert. Ohio Route 637 crosses Ohio Route 114 at Grove Hill, and that's the largest town Ohio Route 637 gets to serve. At the tinier town of Junction, Ohio, Ohio Route 637 turns easterly along Ohio Route 111. Ohio Route 111 turns to the north, but Ohio Route 637 gets to continue east for a few more miles before ending at Ohio Route 66.
My photo for Ohio Route 637 comes from a 4-way intersection with Ohio Route 613. Travelers heading west on Ohio Route 613 will use this guide marker to locate the turn onto Ohio Route 637. The intersection home to this signage is southeast of Paulding. This photo was taken on Leap Day 2016, when I was on the way home to Columbus by way of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
