Ohio State Route 115 connects Lima to Kalida, and by extension, to Defiance, Ohio. The route gets started by splitting with Ohio Route 65 on the north side of Lima. While Ohio Route 65 takes a more north-northeasterly direction, Ohio Route 115 serves those who want a more westerly component to their northerly motion. Soon after its inception, Ohio Route 115 reaches the tiny town of Vaughnsville, where it meets Ohio Route 12 and Ohio Route 189. After that, Ohio Route 115 reaches Kalida, where it interacts with US Route 224 and Ohio Route 114. Beyond Kalida, Ohio Route 115 stays arrow-straight toward the north. Ohio Route 115's northern end is at Ohio Route 15, a few miles east of Continental, Ohio. Most travelers on Ohio Route 115's northern extent use Ohio Route 15 toward or from the northwest, accessing Defiance or points in that direction.
My photo of Ohio State Route 115 comes from Vaughnsville, where Ohio Route 115 meets Ohio Route 12 and Ohio Route 189 at the same intersection. Travelers turning from either of those routes onto the northern leg of the 4-way intersection will see this trailblazer once they have completed the turn. This photo was taken in October 2022, as I was taking back roads toward my initial destination of Columbus. Back to Ohio Routes 100-199. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
