Indiana State Route 162 runs mainly north-south, and is shaped like a backwards "C" in southwest Indiana. From its southwest end at Indiana Route 62 in Gentryville, Indiana Route 162 heads east to Santa Claus, and then turns north to cross Indiana Route 62 again (see photo below). After that, Indiana Route 162 continues north through Ferdinand, almost to Jasper; when just shy of Jasper, Indiana Route 162 turns westerly to meet US Route 231.
My photo for Indiana State Route 162 is the guide assembly for northbound traffic, at the eastern junction of Indiana Routes 62 and 162. This is not the junction at Indiana Route 162's southwestern end; this is the 4-way junction with Indiana Route 62 near Santa Claus. Back to the Indiana main page. Back to the home page.
