Interstate 680 serves the inner portions of Youngstown as an alternate alignment to the Ohio Turnpike, which carries Interstates 76 and 80. The northern end of Interstate 680 is at the freeway portion of Interstate 80, a few miles east of Interstate 76 and the Ohio Turnpike. The southern end converges with the Ohio Turnpike where the Turnpike carries Interstate 76, five miles west of the Pennsylvania state line.
