Indiana State Route 458 is one of the tiniest and most elusive highways in Indiana, running near Bedford. Indiana Route 458 is a tiny northward spur from Indiana Route 158, less than two miles west of Bedford, and it runs to something marked as the "Purdue Farm". I believe it is a property owned by Purdue University for the purpose of conducting agricultural research, something causing us all to benefit greatly. Indiana Route 458 has a length that just barely exceeds one mile.
My photo of Indiana Route 458 shows the set of guide markers for westbound traffic on Indiana Route 158, at the southern end of Indiana Route 458. This is no more than a couple miles west of Bedford. A set of street blades blocks the marker for Route 158, but that doesn't stop me from using this as my photo for Route 458! I drove to the northern end of Indiana 458.
