Ohio State Route 576 is a north-south highway in Williams County, the county comprising the northwestern corner of Ohio. In fact, the county spans the entire north-south length of Williams County, but strangely does not continue farther beyond either county line. The northern end is at the Michigan state line, where the roadway continues as "Hillsdale Road," which is not a numbered Michigan state highway. The southern end is at a junction with the diagonal Ohio Route 2 and an east-west local road running along the southern county line of Williams County. This southern end is in Williams Center, a town that is not on the center of anything, and it certainly isn't in the center of the county of the same name! As I said, this is on the county line! Besides Williams Center, Ohio Route 576 really only serves one other town, and that town is Montpelier.
My photo for Ohio Route 576 comes from the 4-way intersection of that state highway and US Route 6. Travelers heading eastward on US Route 6 will see this sign assembly pointing out the intersection with Ohio Route 576, which lies just north of Williams Center and the southern terminus of that state highway. This photo was taken was taken in September 2017, as I took an indirect route home from Columbus involving US Route 127 and Interstate 80.
