​Ohio State Route 216 is a short northwest-southeast highway in the hills of near-southeastern Ohio.  It runs in an area east of Logan and north of Athens.  The northwestern end is in New Straitsville, at Ohio Route 93.  Ohio Route 595 begins at Ohio Route 216, a block after Ohio Route 216 gets started. The southeastern end is encountered after six miles of southeasterly progression, at Ohio Route 78.  This southeastern end is in the small town of Murray City.

My photo of Ohio State Route 216 signage shows the northwestern end marker at Ohio Route 93 in New Straitsville.  This photo was taken in April 2021, as I was heading southeast along the US Route 33 corridor toward Virginia (with some slight detours).  US Route 33 can be found six to eight miles to the west of Ohio Route 216.
