Iowa Route 140 is a short, north-south oriented highway in northwestern Iowa.  The northern end of Iowa Route 140 is at Iowa Route 3 in the small town of Remsen, east of Le Mars.  The southern end of Iowa Route 140 is at US Route 20, in another small town, called Moville.  The only remarkable crossing or town between the two endpoints is the town of Kingsley.  The longitude occupied by Iowa Route 140 is about fifteen miles east of Sioux City.

My photo of a sign for Iowa Route 140 comes from its junction with Iowa Route 3, at the northern terminus. The signage shown in the photo faces west on the southwest corner of the intersection, as a notification to eastbound traffic on where to turn. This photo came from my September 2019 trip across northern Iowa.
