^The first look northeast on Iowa 62 in Maquoketa, July 2017.

Iowa Route 62 is a short highway in the eastern lobe of Iowa, running from Maquoketa northeast to Bellevue.  The sides of the highway are adorned by the scenic topography offered by the southern reaches of the Driftless Region. The southwestern end is at Iowa Route 64 on the east side of Maquoketa, and the northeastern end is at US Route 52 in Bellevue, a town along the Mississippi River.

My photo of Iowa Route 62 is the first northbound reassurance marker observed by travelers who just turned off of Iowa Route 64 in Maquoketa.  This photo was taken on July 1, 2017, on the way home from my first trip across eastern Iowa.
