Ohio State Route 99 is a north-south highway in Erie and Huron Counties, found in north-central Ohio. Ohio Route 99 can be used to travel between Mansfield and Sandusky, though the route doesn't quite make it to either of these cities. The northern end of Ohio Route 99 is at Ohio Route 4, just south of Sandusky and just barely north of the Ohio Turnpike (Interstates 80 and 90). The southern end is at US Route 224 in Willard. Ohio Routes 61 and 39 continue to Mansfield. For a two-digit route, Ohio Route 99 is rather short, at only 23 miles in length.
My photo of Ohio State Route 99 signage shows a poorly-placed junction assembly on Ohio Route 547 in Monroeville. Eastbound travelers on Ohio Route 547 will see this junction assembly approaching the 4-way intersection with Ohio Route 99-- or honestly, they might not, because of the power pole in the way. This photo was taken during the northwestern Ohio trip of October 2023, which involved a visit to the Lake Erie Islands.
