Interstate 65 is the most dominant north-south Interstate in Indiana, linking Gary and Chicagoland to Indianapolis, and then to the Louisville area. Interstate 65 starts at the Indiana Toll Road, which carries Interstate 90, cuts southeast through Lafayette to meet Indianapolis at Indiana's center; from there, Interstate 65 heads south through Columbus, Indiana, to cross the Ohio River into downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
