Ohio State Route 340 is a short, caret-shaped route in eastern Ohio. It runs southwesterly and southeasterly out of Cumberland, a small town in southern Guernsey County. The western end of Ohio Route 340 is at Ohio Route 284, on the south side of The Wilds, a wildlife and safari park. From there, Ohio Route 340 runs northeasterly to Cumberland, joining Ohio Route 146 for a short spell. Ohio Route 340 turns right off of Ohio Route 146 to continue southeasterly. The eastern end is at Ohio Route 821, at a point in Belle Valley just west of Interstate 77.
My photo of Ohio Route 340 comes from the eastern split with Ohio Route 146 in Cumberland. The guide marker shown indicates to eastbound travelers that the two routes split at the upcoming intersection. This photo was taken looking east, and it was taken in March 2021 during the tour of southeastern Ohio. Back to Ohio Routes 300-499. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
