US Route 92 follows the Interstate 4 corridor in Florida, connecting Tampa and St. Petersburg along the Gulf Coast, to Daytona Beach along the Atlantic Coast. US Route 92 follows US Route 17 for about half of its length. It heads east from St. Petersburg, at a piece of US Route 19, to Lake Alfred, where it joins US Route 17 north through Orlando. At DeLand, Florida, well north of Orlando, US Route 92 splits east from US Route 17, to end at Florida Route A1A along the Atlantic Coast in Daytona Beach.
My photo for US Route 92 is this northbound trailblazer at the start of its concurrency with US Route 441 north, in Kissimmee. The US Route 17 concurrency had been going on since Lake Alfred. The junction home to this sign assembly has US Route 192 running east-west, US Route 441 coming from the west to turn north, and US Routes 17 and 92 coming from the west and turning northerly. This photo was taken in November 2016 as part of my second trip to the Gulf Coast, and my photo of US Route 192 was taken at the same junction. Back to the nationwide main page. Back to the home page.
